Home Home of Joy

Home of Joy is a child caring and welfare agency licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Home of Joy (HOJ) began in November 1977 as a result of the need for Christian Growth Ministries or CGM (an inter-denominational para-church Christian Organization to provide temporary care for abandoned, neglected, orphaned, surrendered and homeless children in Metro Manila. In 1984, God provided enough fund through people and CGM was able to build four homes at DasmariƱas, Cavite. We pursued to care for more children, thus HOJ created its own Foster Home where we trained Filipino families to care for needy children who needs individual care and attention. The organization also expanded to Community-based program where we discouraged family disintegration and assist the child in his/her education through partnership with local churches. In 2003 another two homes were built to serve more needy children.

Objectives:

  1. To protect and promote the well being of the abandoned, neglected, orphaned and less privilege children through provision of holistic programs and services.
  2. To enable the children to become responsible, independent and fulfilled individuals of one's family and society.
  3. To facilitate the permanent placement of each child under care in coordination with government and liaison agencies.
  4. To enhance the total capacity of each staff geared towards quality services and results.
  5. To strengthen and expand networking/linkages with government and non-government organizations and local churches for possible resources and services needed for the children and the center as a whole.
  6. To lead each caregiver or trainees to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Programs and Services:

Defend the course of the weak and fatherless, maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed, rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

Psalm 82: 3, 4
